Fish Saber was a project made for a college GameJam. For the GameJam we had 5 days to make a game that linked to at least one of the three prompts: An Emotional Fish (rock band), beneath the surface and Spafaryev Islands. I teamed up with a 3D artist to make Fish Saber which linked all three prompts. I did all the programming and Unreal Engine work for the game. This was my first VR game and my main focus for the project was to learn how to make VR games with Unreal Engine. Within the 5 days I was able to get it working in almost every aspect I wanted expect for the rhythm. Unfortunately I was unable to get the fish to be on time with the rhythm but I still learnt a lot about creating VR games. On the final day we bought in our work to display and voted on several categories. Fish Saber won Best Interpretation of the Themes and was an Honourable Mention for Best Audio Design.
